The Art of Digital Photography

Computers and cellular phones, mobility and microchips – these are the trademarks of the world today. We live in a world continually changed by technology. Even the arts have continually changed due to technology. Think of it: from charcoal drawings to painting to photography to digital photography, we have come a long way in the visual arts. We have used various methods in capturing life and freezing time. New technology is continually being developed to make art easier and more fun. However, you should know that the art of digital photography is not as simple as aim and shoot.

The art of digital photography needs skill in order to pull off properly. Although some people may reason out that digital photography art can always be edited, many people do not really know how much work editing can be. Oh sure, we can say that technology has reached a level wherein a person needs to do practically nothing in order to achieve a great photograph, but of course, you need to know how to use the tools properly in order to do that.

The art of digital photography, in order to be truly mastered, needs three T’s: Time, talent and tactical placement of equipment. No, that’s not right. You need time, talent and treasure. Just what does this mean?

1) Time – one cannot be an instant expert in digital photography. You need to take the time to learn all about it. Even though you are some sort of protégé who has the talents of a genius, you actually need training to hone that talent. Remember that for all its power, a steamroller cannot be used to do the work of a hammer. There is wisdom in harnessing power properly.

Taking the time to train your self in the art of digital photography is something akin to sharpening a knife using a grindstone or forging a fine katana (that’s the Japanese samurai sword) by heating it and folding it over a thousand times –it may be painful, but it is necessary to produce the best.

2) Talent – of course, you need a bit of inherent talent in order to be truly great at the art of digital photography. You need to have an eye for the subjects that would make a great photograph. Otherwise, you will only end up being mediocre in a field that requires greatness.

Of course, the proper training can actually enhance your inherent talent and help you sharpen your skills in the art of digital photography.

3) Treasure – as said before, you will need the proper tools in order to be successful in the art of digital photography. This means that you will need to invest a lot of cash. Although there are a lot of digital art photography equipment that can be bought at inexpensive prices, the best equipment needs some serious pocket digging. This, of course, tests your courage because there’s nothing scarier to a man than having to pull out his wallet in the name of an untested interest.

Once you have invested money in the art of digital photography, there’s no turning back.

The art of digital photography may seem like it requires a lot. However, in order to be truly successful in something you need love and love always requires sacrifice. You should keep that in mind.

Identifying Wholesale Prices Online

How do you know if you are getting a good deal? Good question! It can often be difficult to identify what is a good wholesale price online. Is there a clear demarcation between a good and a bad price? Or is it all merely subjective? Here are some ideas on how you can begin to identify wholesale prices online so that you know whether you have got a great deal or not.

The truth is that the word ‘wholesale’ seems to carry a lot of weight. People hear the world wholesale and they automatically believe they are getting a great deal, when the truth is that this may not always be the case. In fact, many times buying wholesale can end up costing more than you had imagined. So many people throw the word wholesale around that it no longer seems to mean just one thing. In fact, did you know that it is possible that retail is sometimes less expensive than so-called wholesale?

The truth is that there is not one price barometer that can tell you whether you are getting the best deal possible or not. Whether or not you are getting a good or even great deal has a lot to do with several factors that you will probably not have any control over. To put it bluntly: the expression ‘wholesale’ is a relative term. That means that sometimes what is called ‘wholesale’ will definitely be the best deal, but sometimes it will not. The wholesale price of a product is not something static. Usually, the wholesale price of a product is always changing. For instance, the wholesale price of a product may operate on several levels.

For instance, let us say that you are in the market for guitars. Your wholesale dealer quotes you one price that you will pay if you order between one and 30 guitars. The wholesale dealer you work with refers to this price as the first price level. Imagine you want to order more guitars. The wholesale dealer quotes you a different price if you order between 30 and 50 guitars, and the price per guitar is lower on this second level. Clearly, the more guitars you order (that is, the higher you go on the price level structure), the less you will actually pay per guitar. This is common in the wholesale business. So clearly, there is no one wholesale price. The wholesale price is always changing. Thus, the term wholesale cannot be said to mean one single thing if it is always in flux.

However, even though most buyers and sellers agree that wholesale most often operates as a relative term, it can be understood that wholesale does generally mean that you can expect some kind of discount. The term wholesale can be understood to mean that you will be paying significantly less per unit than the manufacturers suggested retail price that each unit is set at. However, as has been previously discussed, just because something is labeled ‘wholesale’ does not necessarily mean that it is a good deal.

If wholesale is such a relative term, how can you be sure that you are ever getting a good deal? The best answer is to use your common sense and do your homework before you put in any large orders. If everyone else seems to be selling the same product for roughly the same price, chances are you are getting a good deal if you can get the same product for a little less. Figure out what the market is like for a specific product line, and then give it your own price. If you do your homework and research thoroughly enough, you will begin to develop the ability to tell the good deals from the bad ones.
